A Checkmk alternative for MSPs

Checkmk has an open-source Community edition and bills its commercial editions by monitored services. Multi-tenancy is an optional add-on for Checkmk Ultimate, and its MCP server is read-only. Vesana counts hosts, has tenants built in, and lets an AI read and change things under its own account, with your permissions.

Where Vesana differs

When Checkmk may be the better fit

Checkmk's automatic service discovery goes further than Vesana's device profiles, it lists more than 2,000 official integrations, and its Community edition is open source. If you need open-source code or very large single installations, Checkmk is the better fit.

No lock-in

Switching tools once is enough. A Vesana license is perpetual: if you stop renewing, the version you have installed stays fully licensed and nothing is locked. Your data lives in your own PostgreSQL database on your server, and price increases for existing customers are capped. Our fairness commitment
